Congratulations! On being nominated for a Sterling Award in the 2025-2026 season! 

A few details and and requests, now that the good news has been released:  

  1. Sterling Awards Ceremony Details - You’re Invited! And there is a 50% discount for Nominees! (more details below)

  2. Speeches - In consideration of our community members with wee ones or early mornings, we are taking steps to manage the runtime for the event. To this end, we lovingly request that if announced as a recipient at the event, that speeches do not exceed 1.5-2 minutes. Make notes in advance or practice on a friend, we thank you for your participation and understanding!

  3. Access Support - In support of our accessibility measures for this year, all nominees are asked to pass along their speech in advance to allow our ASL interpreters to prepare.

Please note: it WILL NOT be edited for content. If you have been nominated for multiple categories, please submit a speech for each of your nominations. There will be an option to submit another response on the form.

  1. For nominees

    • Performance: Send ONE colour photo of your headshot

    • Design: Send ONE colour photo of your design/sketch from the nominated production. If unavailable, headshot.

    • Director, Choreographer, Playwright: Send ONE colour photo of your headshot.

    For ENSEMBLE performance nominees

    • Producer: Send ONE colour production photo of the nominated ensemble in-show.

    For PRODUCTION nominees

    • Send ONE colour production photo of your nominated production.

Sterling Award Ceremony

The Sterling Awards ceremony will be held on Monday, July 20th at the Westbury Theatre (Fringe Theatre Arts Barns - 10330 84 Ave NW)

5:30 p.m. - Arrivals and cocktail hour with catered goodies
6:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Ceremony 
10:00 p.m. - 11:15 p.m. Post Ceremony chats in the lobby
11:15 p.m. - late - After party at Next Act

Please note: We will not be live streaming the event.

Tickets

As a Nominee you are entitled to ONE 50% discount ticketed. Please follow these instructions when booking your ticket:

  1. Go To: https://tickets.fringetheatre.ca/event/601:7003/601:44417/

  2. Add 1 Full Price ticket at ticket selection. Select the purple Add to Basket button that appears. Then select the purple Checkout button.

  3. Under the order summary select Enter a promo code and a text field will appear. Enter 20Nom6 into the text field and select the purple Add Promo code button.

  4. The promo code will apply to one ticket in the basket.

  5. Select the purple Checkout button to enter payment details and complete the transaction.

Dress Code: Dress to impress; sustainability wins! Be it a previous opening night ensemble, a thrifted treasure trove, or anywhere in between, aim to look good without breaking the bank!
